S&Y CATRIB

The S&Y CATRIB is a pseudo Rigid Inflatable Boat in the sense that the tubes are made of a carbon structure covered with foam, a fabric and finished just like the RIB’s. It has all of the advantages of the RIB’s without the inconveniences. This particular design avoids the water insurge often encountered at the interface hull/tube. It also avoids damage due to the rip off, of the tubes in heavy sea.

The purpose of the catamaran type:
- Having a large working platform, for diving or other activities.
- Being equipped with small and high performing inboard diesel engines
- Having a very light but extremely strong structure. (Carbon)

The water jets are of the same type as those of the water scooters and therefore give a safe and performent propulsion. They permit beaching and navigation in shallow waters.
The platform at the aft permits an easy access to the water and the oxygen cylinders, which are within easy reach.

The built-in fuel tanks gives the S&Y CATRIB a large autonomy while the performing engines will bring you rapidly at destination against wind and current.
The very light carbon structure makes it also very convenient to hoist it with the davits while the build in engines avoids the theft.
